Why has WWE become more of a soap opera/adult film tv show?

oral sex involving HHH and candice michelle, edge and lita "getting dirty", weddings on WWE tv, diva search whores that have no acting ability, vince mcmahon mocking god, tim white attempting suicide, a 500 pound man humping other men, Kurt Angle being a dirty pervert when he was stalking Booker T's wife, renaming a tag team called the tolands the "*****", having pillow fights on wrestling shows! IM pissed at what WWE has done to pro wrestling these days!

I agree totally. It has definately gotten outta hand. It's no longer about wrestling or the wrestler's capabilities. I grew up watching wrestling...when it was wrestling. I would never let my kids watch some of the stuff that Vince has on WWE. I miss WCW...the worst that WCW got was the Nitro girls...which is alot better then sex in the middle of the *wrestling* ring. Anymore, I'd rather watch TNA.

where can i see some of that pillow fighting?

they didn't have that when i watched back in the 80s and 90s.
WWE wrestling has always been a soap opera. It's fake.
The truth is, ratings. The more sex there is the more people watch, or so they think anyway. I don't think it's right either because kids like to watch wrestling but that is the way of the world. McMahon's children are grown now so he probably doesn't think the same way he used to when they were young. I wonder if he has grandchildren?
Its always been a bunch of bullsh*it...Sorry if that comes as a suprise to you. That's a fact, not an opinion.

Theyve just had to step up the rhetoric to compete with other moronic things on TV like reality and talk shows.
well, first of all i think it stems from the fact that they have no REAL talent anymore (i.e. Steve Austin, The Rock) none of the new guys have any charisma, no ability to win the crowd. there are also no characters in wrestling anymore, no guys with masks that have cool gimmiks. Kane was the last of that crew and then off came the mask and he just sucked after that. There's just no suspense anymore, nothing unexpected happens anymore. and noone stands out. Plus you've got all the OLD guys that should be gone (Rick Flair and Shawn Micheals) sticking around trying to be 20 years old still, it's just ridiculous.
i must agree with your assessment. that said the reason wwe has changed so much is the perverted society in which we live. unforutnately the majority of viewers of these wrestling programs are younger males, thus they are more interested in sex, mocking god, attempting suicide and such. a great example of this is a show called jackass where the "actors" (term used very loosely) do stupid things for a cheap thrill and for the viewers entertainment. that said the wwe is interested in ratings and the direction it has gone is what is going to drive those ratings for the time being, and in a while it will change and find something else perverted to focus its attention on.
It is getting a bit out of hand......
where have you been? The WWE has been about sex and stupid angles since the Attitude era(early 90's). When WWE left USA for TNN (now Spike), they had to tone it down a bit. But now that they are back on USA is full blown Tan A.
wrestling is ridiculous no if ya can call it wrestling, used to be a huge fan of WWF/WWE wanting to be a wrestler and all that but now its b ollocks excuse my language TNA focuses on wrestling samoa joe unbeaten still get in there u fat little B astard as scott steiner would say lol
Maybe Bruno Sammartino's not so bitter after all. Maybe he's telling the truth when he says Vince defiled his father's company and tainted the sport he loved and gave so much for.
leave wwe alone. its ******* raw as hell u jus cant appericiate good wrestiling. and all dar soap opra stuff jus makes it beta.
Hey you gay-bashing homophobe... You started a war with the wrong person.
It's what sells.
